About the Speaker:

Zhang Ming is a professor, doctoral supervisor, Director of International Investment Research Division, Institute of World Economics and Politics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Deputy Director of International Finance Research Center, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, chief researcher of Innovation Project "New Pattern of China's Outbound Investment in the New Era" of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is a Chief economist at Ping An Securities and His research interests are international finance and Chinese macroeconomics. He was selected as one of the first batch of Top Young Talents under the National 10,000 Talents Program (2013), the second China Young Financial Scholar of China Museum of Finance (2013), China Young Economist of Beijing News (2014), and Outstanding Communist Party member of Central State Organs (2016). His research projects have been selected as the annual major research achievements of Innovation Engineering of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences for four times. He has won the first prize of excellent National Think Tank reports for three times, the Annual Excellent Strategy Information Award of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences for eight times, and the first and third prizes of Excellent Research Achievements of National Development and Reform Commission. His major part-time jobs: Member of the Advisory Committee of Industrial Economic Analysis Experts, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Senior Adviser, Department of International Economic Relations, Ministry of Finance; Member of expert Committee of CCPIT; Director of Youth Committee of China Society of World Economics; Member of China Chief Economist Forum.
