Sub-forum discussion rules

 

1. The total time of each paper shall not exceed 50 minutes: the reading time of each paper shall be controlled within 20-25 minutes (focusing on research ideas, core ideas and innovations); After the paper is read, the reviewer will comment on it for 5-10 minutes. Panel discussion and speaker response time is 5 minutes. Please strictly control the time.

 

2. All participants are requested to read the group paper or other papers they are interested in carefully before the meeting, and prepare to speak actively. The reviewer can make a specific evaluation on the innovation and existing problems of the paper from the perspective of the value of topic selection, research method, literature citation, argumentation logic, written expression, the meaning of the conclusion and so on, and put forward further discussion and suggestions for modification.

 

3. Please take an active part in the group discussion in the spirit of mutual respect and equal discussion. 

Selection process and rules

 

In order to make the evaluation work fair, standardized and effective, the editorial department of Economic Research, the academic committee of the Forum and the organizing committee of the forum jointly organize the evaluation work.

 

1. Preliminary screening: Preliminary screening of submitted papers, and deletion of papers whose academic level is obviously low, which seriously do not conform to academic norms and do not conform to the topic selection direction of the forum.

2. Anonymous review: after the initial screening of the paper by two experts, there will be anonymous review.  Experts need to be in accordance with academic norms and research quality requirements of the paper to score and grade evaluation. The papers will be sorted according to the score (5 points for "strongly recommended", 4 points for "strongly recommended", 3 points for "recommended" and 0 points for "not recommended"), and the sorting results will be publicized to all members of the review Committee in the form of paper titles, and then the forum will be selected into the list of papers.

3. Presentation: Invited experts will be arranged for each sub-forum to evaluate the paper, and the evaluation experts will grade and score the paper based on the quality of the paper and the author's presentation performance.

 

4. Consideration of the Academic Committee: The final score of each paper is calculated according to the principle that 50% of the score of the hidden examination link and 50% of the score of the publicity link, and all papers are sorted. The first 10-15 papers are selected and submitted to the academic committee for discussion and deliberation, and the academic Committee will finally determine the list of papers recommended to economic Research for hidden examination.

 5. Information will be pushed by the official account of "Economic Research" for the final list of those who will be excluded from "Economic Research".

 

Introduction of BNUBS

 

BNU Business School, formerly known as Department of Political Economy of Beijing Normal University, is one of the earliest schools of economics and management in China's normal universities. It was founded in September 1979, with Mr. Tao Dayong, a famous economist, as the first dean. In 1985, it was renamed As The Department of Economics. In June 1996, it was established as the School of Economics. In March 2004, it was renamed as the School of Economics and Business Administration. Relying on the hundred years of history and culture of BNU, BNUBS takes " Promoting business and culture to serve the nation and the world through creating knoeledge and educating talents" as our mission, and is committed to establish the management education, the humanities, and social responsibility of the organic combination of school-running mode. It has become an important talent training and scientific research base of economics and business administration in China.

 

 

 

In 2016, the School successfully passed EQUIS international accreditation. In the 2016 First-level Discipline Assessment (the fourth round) and Professional degree Level Assessment released by the Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education, theoretical economics was awarded A- and MBA program was awarded B+. In the QS 2019 World University Rankings by Disciplines, accounting and Finance, Business and Management Studies are ranked 11th among Chinese mainland universities, and Economics and econometrics is ranked 12th among Chinese mainland universities.

 

The School has a relatively complete and reasonable disciplinary structure. Now it has 6 departments, including Department of Economics, Department of International Economy and Trade, Department of Finance, Department of Enterprise Management, Department of Accounting and Department of Human Resources Management.  There are 5 undergraduate majors in economics (experimental class), Finance, International Economy and Trade (Hande experimental class), Accounting and International Business Management (experimental class). There are mainly three first-level disciplines, including Theoretical Economics, Applied Economics and Business Administration, which covers one of national key disciplines, 1 national cultivate discipline, two key discipline of Beijing, a Beijing philosophy and social science research base, a characteristic specialized construction point and the Ministry of Education approved training mode innovation experimental area for the Ministry of Education economics, One national characteristic specialty and Beijing characteristic specialty construction site. It has 1 post-doctoral research station, 2 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization centers, 3 first-level discipline master degree authorization centers, 2 professional master degree authorization centers (MBA, MIB), 1 International English doctoral program and 1 International English master program. It also has more than 10 research institutes, institutes and centers, 1 university-level experimental teaching center, and 6 BNU-Gate experimental economics laboratories jointly built with France.

 

 

 

 

 

The School has an international team of high-quality teachers, including 79 full-time teachers, 37 professors and 26 associate professors. Nearly 30% of them have received doctoral degrees from high-level overseas universities, and more than 85% of the teachers have overseas exchange and study experience. At present, the college has 8 national talents, such as "Changjiang Scholars", "Ten Thousand Talents Program", "Outstanding Young Scholars of The National Natural Science Foundation of China", "National Talents Project", and "middle-aged and young experts with outstanding contributions". There are 7 experts with special government allowance of The State Council, 4 Outstanding Teachers of Beijing and more than 10 winners of other provincial and ministerial talent titles.

 

After 40 years of development, the quality and influence of the school's scientific research output has been constantly improving. In recent years, faculty members of the School have undertaken 15 major national key projects. More than 40 scientific research achievements have been awarded by the Ministry of Education, Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award, Sun Yefang Economic Science Award, China Economic Theory Innovation Award and other awards, 3 of which have been selected into the National Philosophy and Social Science Achievements Library. Capital Education Economics Research Base and China Income Distribution Research Institute were included in the China Think Tank Index source think tank. Faculty members actively participate in national policy consultation and promote scientific research achievements to serve national, local government and enterprise development, which has had a positive impact on China's reform and development in employment and economic growth, income distribution and anti-poverty, education, international trade and finance, state-owned enterprise reform and corporate governance innovation and other fields.

 

 

 

 

 

 

With the talent cultivation philosophy of "broadening the foundation, strengthening integration, respecting individuality and pursuing excellence", the School is committed to cultivating high-quality innovative and entrepreneurial economic and management professionals with good humanistic and scientific literacy, broad professional foundation, broad international vision and the courage to practice. The School has a complete talent training system from bachelor, master to doctor.  There are more than 1900 full-time students, accounting for 7.7% of the total students in the university, including 968 undergraduate students, 285 doctoral and master students, 531 MBA students and 150 international students. The School also offers a dual degree, an English-only master's degree in World Economics and China, executive education and continuing education programs. The School is an innovation experimental area of economic talent training mode of the Ministry of Education, and is also the first group of universities to establish MBA education programs among normal universities. The School attaches great importance to the cultivation of students' scientific research practice and innovation ability, and fully implements the "Encouraging Plan" - undergraduate scientific research tutorial system and freshman tutorial system.  The School attaches great importance to students' international experience and has established cooperative relations with more than 40 famous foreign universities. Currently, more than 40% of students have the opportunity to go to these universities for exchange study or study tour.
