From April 21 to 22, 2023 Sports Meeting of Beijing Normal University opened with the theme of "No Sports, No Education -- Build a Strong Body and Sail Away". The teachers and students of our School actively participated in this sports meeting. In this spring when a hundred flowers are blooming and the birds are singing, the teachers and students are full of vitality and high spirits, showing the spirit of unity and cooperation, hard work, self-transcendence and courage. Zhang Pingan, Associate Dean of our School attended the opening ceremony and closing ceremony, and Han Lili, Associate Secretary, participated in the procession.

First of all, our mascot "A Glutinous Rice" walked in the forefront phalanx and on behalf of the management students with renewed energy. Afterwards, the performance teams made up of teachers and students from various Schools put on a series of wonderful performances. They are "Longteng New Era Striving Normal University Students" national traditional sports display, "Hot Youth Burning Dream" aerobics rhythmic gymnastics cheer exercise, "Superb Skills to Protect the Voyage" high-level sports team skills display, "Live Up to Youth " health physical exercise and "Future I in BNU" fitness vitality exercise. There are many students in our School in the wonderful performances.

After the wonderful opening ceremony, the sports meeting began. In both the individual events and team events, the athletes of our School all showed their abilities and tried their best to achieve good results. In the faculty sports event, Mr. Wang Jun won the 7th place in Group A of the men's two-handed ball throwing event. In student team sports, our School won the eighth place of team aerobics in Group A, the third place of 30x150 meter relay race, Third place in sit-ups, second place in pull-ups, second place in push-ups, The second place of volleyball team ball passing, the sixth place of football shooting competition, the fifth place of team cooperation to the future, the third place of 20-meter leapfrog relay, fourth of the 36 people tornado, first in the 40 meters hold the ball run, first in the planting and harvesting, and fourth in the river dance. In the individual event, Yu Siyue and Yang Zinian won the 5th place of the 100m female and the 3rd place of the 100m male respectively, Xia Ruomu won the sixth place of 200m men's group, Yu Siyue won the second place in the women's long jump, Jao Xizhao and Lin Qinxuan won the 4th and 7th place respectively in the men's long jump, Jao Xizhao and Tian Jiahe won the second and seventh place respectively in the men's high jump, and Wang Zhuoran won the seventh place in the men's shot put.

On the afternoon of April 22nd, the 2023 school Sports meeting came to a successful conclusion. In this sports meeting, our School won the third place in the undergraduate group A, and won many honorary titles such as "The Most exciting Entry Award", "Excellent Physical Health Award" and "Top Ten Group Performance Award". Although the games have come to an end, the spirit of self-improvement and self-challenge continues. Sports bring teachers and students more healthy body and fuller spirit, but also help everyone more actively into the work, study and life, constantly go beyond themselves, achieve new self-breakthrough. We look forward to the students of our School in the coming year to carry forward the past, continue the glory and create new achievements.
