In order to enrich the cultural life of the faculty of our School, enhance their physical quality, and guide them to devote themselves to the construction of the School with a more ambitious attitude, from May to June 2023, the Trade Union of BNU sponsored and the Trade Union of College of Physical Education and Sports co-organized the 2023 Faculty Table Tennis Competition of Beijing Normal University.

The competition was held at the small comprehensive hall of Qiu Jiduan Sports Centre. More than 10 teachers from our School participated. In the group competition, our School competed with the Team A of Intermediate Organ, the biology team and the astronomy team respectively. The competition was fierce, and the teachers quickly adjusted their status and devoted themselves to the competition. As time goes by, the teachers were getting better with the acceleration of the pace and movement. Despite the fierce attack of the other side, the participating teachers in our School remained calm and prepared, and gradually had a more systematic defense plan, the tacit understanding between the members was rapidly improved, and the score gap was constantly widened. In the whole process of the group competition, the teachers of our School united and encouraged each other, and the teachers' cheerleaders kept cheering. In the end, through the tenacious struggle and unremitting efforts of all the players, our School qualified as the second group, advanced to the top eight, and successfully qualified for the knockout round.

In the elimination stage on the evening of June 2, 2023, our School competed with the Education team, foreign language team and psychological team. Although the strength of each promoted team was very strong, but our teachers and players were not afraid of strong opponents and they brought their best into full play. In the end, they have not only achieved a good record, but also showed a good spirit.

This activity has not only enriched the teachers' amateur cultural life, but also further enhanced the internal cohesion and created a healthy and upward good atmosphere. At the same time, it has strengthened the exchanges and understanding between various departments, and worked together to innovate the era with a more united and upward spirit.
