Approaching to academics, consolidating the foundation, broadening the horizon, and exploring the frontier - in order to further promote the construction of the academic style of the School, promote the continuous improvement of the teaching level, training quality and innovation ability of undergraduates, stimulate the enthusiasm of undergraduates for academic research, broaden their academic horizons, and form a good atmosphere of study and research. On June 30, 2024, the 10th Undergraduate Academic Forum was held in Jingwen Lecture Hall. The forum was attended by Jiang Jie, Associate Dean of the School, Hu Haifeng, Director of the Department of Finance, Qu Ruxiao, former director of the Teaching Committee, Yang Chengyu and Zhu Mengbing, teachers of the Department of Economics, and Zhu Yanchun, teachers of the Department of Digital Economy and Management. The forum was moderated by Hui Minbo, Head of the Department of Economics.

This year's undergraduate academic forum received a total of 64 undergraduate papers submitted, a total of 20 papers were selected into the sub-forum after initial evaluation, and finally 6 papers entered the main forum.

In the exhibition session, Zhang Buxin, Guo Jincheng, Zhang Xin, Cai Zhuoyang, Gao Xiangyu, Kuang Shiyi and other six students introduced the thesis topic selection and background of the selected works, and systematically explained the research methods, conclusions and significance. The paper of the academic team has been detailed and rigorous presentation and report. Professor Hu Haifeng, Professor Yang Chengyu and Associate Professor Zhu Mengbing made comments respectively.

After the students' report, Associate Dean Jiang Jie made a summary speech, pointing out that the undergraduate academic forum has played a triple role of "disenchantalization of scientific research and strengthening confidence", "strengthening training and improving technology", and "focusing on reality and taking responsibility". At the same time, she put forward two suggestions for the future development of undergraduate academic forums: strong forums emphasize system, strong technology and ideology. Finally, she expressed his sincere expectations to the students present, and wished the students to find their true love in the process of scientific research training, and strive for it for life, so as to achieve personal growth and value creation in the great journey of national rejuvenation. She wished the Undergraduate Academic Forum more and more successful.

At the end of the event, an award ceremony was held. After voting, 1 first prize, 5 second prize and 6 third prize were selected. At the same time, the Undergraduate Academic Forum selected two undergraduate essay workshop excellence awards.

So far, the 10th Undergraduate Academic Forum of BNUBS has been a complete success. The Undergraduate Academic Forum has been held for a total of 10 sessions from 2014 to this year, providing a good academic exchange platform for undergraduates and playing an important role in stimulating top-notch innovative research talents and promoting the improvement of undergraduate academic level. Ten years of academic forum has enabled students to train in scientific research and grow in practice. The future academic forum will also be passed on from generation to generation, promoting the trend of innovation and establishing the wind of research.
