In order to further promote the international development of the School and the international accreditation of AACSB, the School successfully held the "AACSB Accreditation Seminar" on the afternoon of March 29. Twenty scholars and experts attended the meeting, including Dean Qi Yudong, Associate Dean Cui Xuegang, Associate Dean Cai Hongbo, Associate Secretary of the Sub-Party Committee Jiang Jie, members of the Teaching Steering Committee, members of the professional degree evaluation group, directors of each department (administrative center), teachers' representatives and representatives of related administrative teachers. The meeting was presided over by Associate Dean Cui Xuegang.

First of all, Associate Dean Cui Xuegang carefully and comprehensively interpreted the nine standards of AACSB Accreditation from the aspects of accreditation concept, characteristics, definition and so on. Then, for the key work of this semester "Assurance of Learning system" (AOL) construction, he introduced the certification standards, system design, construction and implementation, continuous improvement, and clarified the specific embodiment of relevant educational elements. The conference pointed out that the School can show high quality teaching results to internal and external stakeholders and embody the concept of continuous improvement through continuous construction and improvement of learning support system. AOL is the key step of AACSB accreditation, the overall progress of Accreditation would depend on the implementation and effectiveness of AOL. Finally, he introduced the division of labor in the next step of the School's accreditation tasks and the establishment of the accreditation work organization, and defined the objectives and management mechanism for the accreditation work of AACSB in the future.

At the end of the meeting, Dean Qi Yudong made a summary of the seminar, and clearly pointed out that the construction of learning support system (AOL) is one of the key work of the School this semester. The School will attach great importance to the AACSB accreditation and fully support it, hoping that all the teachers and stakeholders work together to help the School pass the accreditation as soon as possible.

Introduction to AACSB Accreditation

The AACSB is one of the three global accreditation systems for business schools and is an important marker of international excellence in business education, with less than 5 per cent of all business schools globally currently accredited. On the basis of the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation in 2016, BNUBS successfully passed the AACSB accreditation application in July 2022, and began to enter the formal accreditation stage.
