On the evening of May 18, 2024, the 31st lecture,Across the Gap, How Mergers and Acquisitions Promote the Development of Science and Technology Enterprises, of "Digital Economy and Management Lecture Hall" Was Successfully Heldin the Jingshi Hall of the Jingshi Academy. Lin Lin, Vice President of Lenovo Group and partner of Lenovo Venture Capital Group, was invited to give the lecture. Zhou Jianghua, Director of the MBA Education Center, presided over the lecture. Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS, Li Jing, Associate Director of the MBA Education Center, and more than 150 undergraduate, master and doctoral students of the school attended the lecture.

Guest Speaker: Lin Lin

Mr. Lin first pointed out that mergers and acquisitions are the only way for high-tech giants to develop, and as of now, six American technology giants with a market value of more than one trillion dollars have acquired and restructured more than 1,000 times in the past 30 years. Then, he introduced the necessity of mergers and acquisitions of domestic high-tech enterprises from the perspective of industry and capital. Recently, a series of policies have been introduced to encourage mergers and acquisitions in the high-tech field, and the scale of mergers and acquisitions is expected to increase in the future. General Manager Lin sorted out the history of mergers and acquisitions of domestic high-tech enterprises in the past 10 years, and explained the typical cases in detail: Weil Shares grew into a global sensor leader with the help of continuous mergers and acquisitions. Finally, the core elements and implementation key points of M&A process were analyzed comprehensively, such as before M&A, the design of M&A transaction scheme and the implementation of M&A. After the lecture, Mr. Lin also actively interacted with the students and answered their questions.

From May 2023, the lecture series has been officially upgraded to “Digital Economy and Management Lecture Hall”, showing the current development picture of digital economy and management from the perspectives of economy, management, culture, technology and change, trying to interpret the connotation and law of this surging forward tide. To lead the deeper thinking and practice of China's economic development and enterprise change and innovation in the new economic era.

From March to June 2024,“Digital Economy and Management Frontier Lecture Series” successively invited 6 heavyweight experts to share lectures, welcome to attend.
