On the afternoon of December 1, 2024, the 2024 Talent High Quality Development Forum and Employer Exchange Conference of BNUBS was successfully held in the sixth conference room of the Capital Building. Zhang Xinxin, Director of the Career Development and Employment Guidance Center at Beijing Normal University, and Sun Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics and Management at Beijing Normal University, attended the meeting. Representatives from the Chinese Academy of Personnel Sciences, the head office of the Agricultural Bank of China, the E-commerce Research Institute of the International Trade and Economic Cooperation Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce, the Dongcheng District Bureau of Commerce of Beijing, China Securities Co., Ltd., Green Dahua Futures Co., Ltd., Lixin Certified Public Accountants, China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation, Electronic Industry Press, Zhilian Evaluation Institute, Du Xiaoman, Kwai and other employers were invited to attend the meeting. The event was chaired by Han Lili, Associate Secretary of the School Party Committee.

On behalf of the School, Sun Zhijun extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the attending guests, business representatives, alumni, teachers, and students. He emphasized that the School always shoulders the mission of cultivating high-quality talents, closely focusing on the needs of national development strategies, and emphasizing the cultivation of compound talents with international perspectives, innovative spirit, and practical abilities. The School will take this forum and exchange meeting as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation with employers, jointly explore new models of industry education integration, accurately meet industry needs, and provide more high-quality and excellent talents for society.

Keynote speeches

Tian Yongpo, director and researcher of the Human Resources Market and Mobility Management Research Office of the Chinese Academy of Personnel Sciences, and member of the National People's Standards Committee, shared the theme of "Building a Good Link between Talent Cultivation and Youth Growth". Tian Yongpo elaborated on the multiple dimensions involved in the cultivation of young talents in the new era from multiple aspects such as the matching of human resources supply and demand, service models, and management mechanisms. He suggested optimizing the talent cultivation model, bridging the gap between talent cultivation units and the human resources market, and assisting the growth of young talents.

Wang Jun, Associate General Manager and Chief Expert of Green Dahua Futures Company, gave a detailed presentation on the overall development of the futures industry, talent demand and training models, as well as the relationship between school enterprise cooperation and practical employment, with the theme of "Exploration of Talent Training and Practical Employment in the Futures Derivatives Industry". He comprehensively introduced the current development status of China's futures derivatives industry to everyone, and pointed out the challenges and opportunities that the futures industry is actually facing.

In the roundtable discussion session, experts from all walks of life and representatives of employers jointly discussed topics such as how to cultivate practical management talents, industry education cooperation models, as well as development trends and employment standards in various fields.

Bai Liang, from the Overseas Institutions Department of the International Finance Department of the Agricultural Bank of China, shared his personal growth experience and experience as an "interviewer" in a company. He hoped that students will value every interview opportunity and provide many opinions and suggestions on how to understand the job position in a targeted manner and strategically prepare interview skills during the job search process. Zhang Shuai, Executive General Manager and Sponsor Representative of the Investment Banking Business Management Committee of CITIC Securities, introduced the main business components of domestic securities companies from the aspects of brokerage, investment banking, research institutes, and asset management. For students interested in investment banking, he suggested building a solid legal and financial knowledge system related to listed companies, and obtaining relevant professional certificates such as CPA.

Mao Jun, Associate Researcher at the E-commerce Research Institute of the International Trade and Economic Cooperation Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce, pointed out that his unit, as one of the first pilot units of high-end think tanks in the country, has high standards in talent selection. At the same time, she emphasized the importance of policy sensitivity, compound ability, rapid learning ability, and excellent writing skills in practical work. Li Chen, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Dongcheng District Bureau of Commerce in Beijing, pointed out that graduates from Beijing Normal University have both professional fit and comprehensive abilities, and have certain advantages in the grassroots civil service system. However, given the current severe employment situation, students should maintain a firm political stance and focus on improving their abilities in thinking, writing, and expression.

Tian Juanjuan, Executive Director of Zhilian Recruitment Evaluation Research Institute, analyzed the current employment situation based on Zhilian Recruitment big data and interpreted the core demands of enterprise recruitment. She stated that companies pay more attention to mental health and occupational adaptability when recruiting on campus, and have lower requirements for professional matching; Job seeking students can plan for the long term and carry out comprehensive job preparation from four aspects: career mentality, thinking ability, office skills, communication presentation, etc. Xie Dongliang, equity partner of Lixin Certified Public Accountants, introduced the talent cultivation characteristics and industry development path of accounting firms. He mentioned that as one of the top three domestic large accounting firms, Lixin still has a large number of campus recruitment quotas every year. Although the accounting firm industry has faced unfavorable factors such as overall scale contraction and increased regulatory pressure in recent years, it still has advantages such as clear development paths and wide customer distribution. He suggested that students should choose their employment direction reasonably based on their own actual situation.

Zhang Anhua, the recruitment manager of the Human Resources Department of China Export&Credit Insurance Corporation, introduced the company's business scope, organizational layout, and talent introduction status. She mentioned that as the only policy insurance company in the country, China Export&Credit Insurance Corporation ranked first in terms of business scale among official export credit insurance institutions worldwide. The company attached great importance to talents with international vision, professional spirit, and patriotism. Liu Shuai, Senior Human Resources Manager of Electronic Industry Press, provided a detailed introduction to the job settings, talent requirements, and employee benefits of his unit. She mentioned that as a state-owned enterprise, the Electronic Industry Press has high quality control in recruitment, diverse job settings, strong career development guarantees, and good welfare benefits, and welcomes graduates from Beijing Normal University.

The person in charge of campus recruitment at Du Xiaoman gave a comprehensive and detailed introduction to the company's development trajectory, main business areas, campus recruitment related matters, talent cultivation models, and specific forms of school enterprise cooperation. She expressed her hope to work together with Beijing Normal University in the future to create a richer resource environment and build a broader cooperation platform for talent cultivation and technological innovation. Cao Jingdan, Kwai Campus Recruitment Manager, introduced the basic situation and business content of the company in detail, and shared Kwai's emphasis on and cultivation of school enrollment. She mentioned Kwai's 3+1 training system: in addition to company level training, there are three types of training: channel level training and department level training. In addition, each school is equipped with a dedicated tutor to ensure the work guidance and adaptation to environmental changes after entry.

During the questioning session, the on-site audience exchanged and consulted with the guests on the self-awareness of graduates entering the workplace, the ways and methods they face when choosing a career, and the employment situation of fintech graduates in the market environment.
