On December 6, 2023, BNUBS successfully held the alumni symposium of the Department of Accounting in the Rear Main Building 1722. The alumni representatives of the Accounting undergraduate class of 2003, the teacher representatives of the Accounting department, the teacher of the Aumni Office of the School, and the student representatives of the Accounting Department participated in the activity. The symposium was presided over by Mr. Wu Qinhong, the Director of the Accounting Department, and Professor Sun Zhijun, the Party Secretary of BNUBS, attended the activity.

First of all, Secretary Sun Zhijun expressed a warm welcome to the alumni representatives on behalf of the School, and then he comprehensively introduced the overall situation of the School to the alumni from the aspects of the School's discipline system, teaching staff, talent training, etc. He said that today's arrival is the school's first accounting undergraduate alumni. Since its enrollment in 2003, the Accounting discipline has made gratifying achievements in teaching, scientific research and personnel training, and has made great contributions to the development of the School. The achievements are inseparable from the joint efforts of all teachers and students and the strong support of all alumni. In the future, the School will continue to actively build an alumni exchange platform to jointly promote the development of alumni and promote the School cause.

At the symposium, the alumni representatives introduced themselves one by one, reported their personal life and work situation to the School leaders and teachers, recalled the unforgettable experience in the study life in the Alma mater, expressed their gratitude to the School and teachers for many years of training, said that they would actively play the role of bridge between alumni and Alma mater, and wished all students, teachers and Alma mater better and better.

Subsequently, Cui Xuegang, Associate Dean and professor of the Department of Accounting, expressed his sincere thanks to the alumni for their care and support for the construction and development of the School. He said that the Accounting discipline can make progress while maintaining stability and achieve greater development, which is inseparable from the unconditional support of the School and alumni. He hoped to take this event as an opportunity to establish a cooperation mechanism with alumni, and through carrying out a variety of activities, let alumni actively participate in the School's personnel training, enrollment and employment, innovation and entrepreneurship and other work, mutual support and common development.

In the exchange session with the teachers and sisters, the atmosphere was lively, and many students actively asked questions about professional development, career choice, necessary skills and other aspects, and alumni gave patience and detailed answers.

Finally, Ms. Wu Qinhong, Head of the Department of Accounting, summarized the symposium and once again thanked the alumni for coming and supporting the School. At the same time, she welcomed the alumni to "visit home often".

At the end of the symposium, the alumni representatives presented a calligraphy work entitled "Educating talents with care and acjieving great results", and took a photo with all the participants. The calligraphy work is a tribute to the teachers' education, that is, through continuous, hard work and careful training of talents, remarkable achievements have been achieved.

After the symposium, the alumni handed over the "White Jade abacus", a souvenir presented by the 10th anniversary of the Accounting Department, to the History Hall of Beijing Normal University for collection, and visited the History Hall and the School culture wall successively.

The symposium and visit provided an interactive platform for alumni to return to their Alma mater and experience the changes and development of their Alma mater, while also promoting exchanges between alumni and the School. The School looks forward to further strengthening the ties with alumni and, through joint efforts, cultivating more outstanding talents for the society and making greater contributions to the construction and development of the discipline.
