On the morning of February 26, 2024, BNUBS held a new semester work meeting at 1722 in the Rear Main building. At the meeting, the key work of this semester was discussed and deployed. Members of the Party and government teams of the School, heads of departments and heads of internal institutions attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Dean Qi Yudong.

First of all, Associate Dean Zhang Pingdanmade a detailed introduction to undergraduate education teaching audit and evaluation, graduate student enrollment and digital reform direction of training work, undergraduate major enrollment, 2023 special talent training quality project and process management of graduate degree thesis.He stressed the importance of teaching quality, and proposed to pay attention to the enrollment and development of undergraduate majors to ensure that the quality of talent training is steadily improved. Associate Dean Cui Xuegang made a report on MBA enrollment, training programs, characteristic courses and directions, internationalization and improvement of training quality. He proposed it is necessary to continuously optimize the enrollment strategy, strengthen international exchanges, enhance brand influence, and promote the "production, learning and research" achievement library and continue to do a good job in the construction of "Digital Economy Lecture Hall". Associate Secretary Han Lili gave a detailed report on student work. She proposed it is necessary to strengthen students' social practice and enterprise research, promote labor education, and prepare to use student information management system. Through these measures to promote the overall development of students, the quality of student work could be improved.

At the meeting, the heads of departments and other internal institutions made speeches in turn to offer suggestions for the development of the new semester of the School.

Sun Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee, pointed out that in 2024, the School would continue to in-depth study and implement the spirit of the 14th Party Congress of BNU, strengthen party building innovation, and lead the high-quality development of the School with high-quality party building. It would also strengthen the overall planning and coordination of various work of the School, and carry out organized teaching, scientific research and social service work according to the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of the School. In the development of teachers, we should continue to improve the construction of high-quality teaching staff development support system, do a good job in this year's budget according to the requirements of "combining business and finance" and do a good job in the formulation and revision of performance evaluation reform and other rules and regulations.

Qi Yudong summarized the meeting, and further put forward three requirements. The first is to do a good job of serving teachers and students with a sincere and caring attitude. The second is to strengthen the fineness in daily work and the spirit of excellence throughout the work. The third is to further innovate working ideas, mechanisms and measures to promote the development of the School to a new level.
