On November 30, the School held a meeting on epidemic prevention and control, education and teaching arrangements for all teachers. Dean Qi Yudong, Party Secretary Sun Zhijun, Associate Dean Zhang Pingdan and Cui Xuegang respectively made a report and deployment on the current epidemic situation and the requirements of prevention and control policies, which included how to strengthen the role of ideological and political education during the epidemic period, how to ensure the normal development of education and teaching, teaching quality, and final exams.

At noon on November 30, BNUBS held an online meeting on epidemic prevention and control work of class teachers in Beijing campus. Sun Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Han Lili, Associate Secretary of the Party Committee, all counselors and homeroom teachers of accommodation classes in Beijing campus attended the meeting.

Sun Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee, introduced the current epidemic prevention and control policy of the School and the latest adjustment of teaching work such as teaching, examination and defense to the teachers at the meeting, and asked the head teacher to timely inform the students of the changes of the epidemic situation in the School, the School's homing policy and logistics support, as well as the adjustment arrangement of teaching and scientific research, so as to provide students with comprehensive reference information. Secretary Sun said that the university will provide necessary support and help to students who are willing to leave School and return home, and will do its best to provide good living security for students who remain to study in school. Han Lili, Associate Secretary of the Party Committee, introduced to the participating teachers the overall situation of the epidemic in the School and the specific situation of the resettlement of students involved in the epidemic. She also answered the questions of the homeroom teachers about the certificates of returning home, the heart-warming sending station and the material support of the students recently. On the morning of December 1st, BNUBS held a forum of student representatives. Sun Zhijun, Party secretary of the School, and Li Lun, counselor of the School had a full exchange with 9 student representatives from different grades and different majors.

On the evening of November 28, BNUBS held an online video for isolated students. Han Lili, Associate Secretary of the Party Committee, introduced to the students the relevant situation of the centralized quarantine site, as well as the logistics support of BNU and the School, reminding them to follow the arrangement of the epidemic prevention department, do a good job of self-protection, keep indoor exercise properly, and report any difficulties.

The quarantined students made speeches one after another, expressing their psychological changes during the quarantine period, introducing the environment and conditions of the quarantined hotel, and sharing their current study and living conditions. Though I have not been employed, I have already started my internship as a student affairs assistant. As a newcomer to the team, this is the first time for me to take over the epidemic prevention and control work. With the help of my teachers, I gradually got familiar with the working procedures of nucleic acid verification and supervision, information collection of flow adjustment, emergency medical treatment, quarantine report and application for approval of leaving school and returning home. I worked on the minor things, but if I can make students feel a little convenience and warmth under the epidemic through my own efforts, I would hope to continue to stick to my post and make a contribution to the improvement of the campus epidemic prevention and control system.

With the sudden flow and transfer announcements, I didn't think much of it and quickly packed my things and boarded the quarantined bus. During the eight days of centralized isolation, I saw that students had a variety of situations. In the communication of the isolation group, the teachers were the first to answer the questions. In the face of the emotional instability of the students brought by various uncertain factors, they still tried hard to solve the problems for the students. During the isolation period, the School also held a video conference for everyone to pay attention to the students' life and study. In the initial stage of lockdown, the School immediately sent breakfast supplies, and in the following two days, the food was also very rich and delicious, classmates in the dormitory were full of praise for the school's logistics support. A new round of COVID-19 was approaching in Beijing, and epidemic prevention and control on campus was the key moment to overcome the difficulties. In order to avoid the risk of the epidemic, the dormitory where I live was temporarily controlled. Students obeyed the command, responded to the call, and consciously complied with the control regulations. “We must emerge in the hardships”. I had the honor to serve as a floor volunteer, assisting the resident counselors in nucleic acid guidance, temperature monitoring, meal distribution and other work to serve students. As a volunteer, I saw the School’s unified deployment and careful arrangement. Resident counselors and college teachers work hard day and night to stick to their posts.
