On the afternoon of October 8, 2022, the 10th Congress of Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) Beijing Normal University of BNUBS, the 38th Student Congress of BNUBS and the 11th Graduate Student Congress of BNUBS were held in 502, Teaching Building 9.

 

The participants attending this conference include Sun Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee of BNUBS, Ni Jiaqi, Associate Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Beijing Normal University, Han Lili, Associate Secretary of the Party Committee of BNUBS, Sun Xiaoxuan, representative of the Student Union, Luo Shixiao, representative of the Graduate Student Union, Chang Xinyang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of BNUBS, Wang Jun, member of the Party Committee of BNUBS, full-time counselors Zhang Huilin, Li Rong, Shi Huiyi, and the Associate Secretaries of the Youth League Committee, the presidium member representatives of the Student Union and the presidium member representatives of the Graduate Union from each sibling school. All student representatives of BNUBS and student representatives of Youth League Branch attended the meeting.

Party Secretary Sun Zhijun delivered the opening speech. In his speech, he fully affirmed the achievements and efforts in organizational construction, practical activities, ideological guidance, and serving teachers made by youth League organizations at all levels within the School under the leadership of BNU Party Committee and the superior league organizations, while centering on the central work of BNU and BNUBS, serving the overall situation of morality and cultivating people, uniting and leading the School's youth league members. He proposed three points of hope to all the student representatives and the new League. First, he hoped that all the representatives could play an exemplary role, keep in mind the spirit of the letter wrote by General Secretary Xi Jinping in response to the students of the "Excellent Teacher Program" of Beijing Normal University, study hard and hone their character. Secondly, he hoped that the new association can "shoulder the responsibility and care for the students", give full play to the role of the association as a bridge, and wholeheartedly serve the growth and development of students. Thirdly, it is hoped that all students have a correct and rational understanding of the national and university epidemic prevention and control policies, and earnestly implement the requirements of epidemic prevention and control.

She pointed out that the past year was an extraordinary year for the Party, the country and the university, which provided opportunities and impetus for the development of the league work. She hoped that all of us could be politically savvy, continue to carry forward the fine tradition of student management and promote brand activities. She also put forward three expectations for league school cadres. One is to cultivate people for the Party, educate and lead the progress of youth league members; The second is to keep clear and pure, maintain a healthy attitude for the school and student development service; The third is to melt the personal dream into the country’s dream, to spread the wisdom of the individual in the motherland to the people most needed.

   At the second stage of the Congress, the deputies deliberated and approved the election method of the Congress, the list of general vote supervisors and vote supervisors, and announced the list of general vote counters and vote counters. The 10th Committee of Beijing Normal University of the Communist Youth League would be elected by online ballot by secret ballot under the auspices of the chief vote supervisor in accordance with the election procedure. During the voting, delegates heard and approved a work report on the proposal. By secret ballot, Sun Weiyi, Zhang Panyan and Liu Wanru were elected as associate secretaries of the 10th Youth League Committee of BNUBS, Zheng Qiaoyi, Wu Tong, Wang Yiran, Wang Biao, Li Wensi were elected the 38th session of the BNUBS presidium and the head of the student development center, He Zhaoran, Lv Fang, Zhang Ni, Huo Yujia and Li Chenxi were elected the Presidium members of the 43rd Graduate Student Union and the head of the Student Development Center of BNUBS.

　　

   Han Lili, associate secretary of the Party Committee of BNUBS, spoke at the closing ceremony. From the perspectives of education evolution, future development and international competition, she sorted out and analyzed the domestic and international trends faced by contemporary young people and the requirements for young people in the new era. She also shared three suggestions based on the examples around her own experiences. First, we should set up a correct political direction, enrich theoretical study, and do a good job in guiding young students' thoughts. Second, we should do a good job in professional study, devote ourselves to the grassroots, constantly improve the quality and ability to adapt to the development of The Times and the requirements of the national cause, transfer the book knowledge into the vitality of students' work, social practice and even economic and social development. Third, the needs of young students to grow into talents should be taken as the entry point and focus of thinking and planning the work of league school, and the network platform should be used to unite, serve and guide young people.

This conference was held at the key point of the whole school's teachers and students to further study and implement the important letter spirit wrote by General Secretary Xi Jinping in response to the "Excellent Teacher Plan" of normal university students, and further study and implement the spirit of the conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China.
