On July 15, 2022, BNUBS successfully held a seminar on the development of Digital economy and management discipline in the context of the construction of new liberal arts.The members of the Party and government team, the directors of the academic Committee and the Teaching Steering Committee, the directors of each department and the representatives of teachers attended the meeting. Famous experts and scholars from Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, Nankai University, University of International Business and Economics, Tencent Research Institute were invited to attend the meeting and deliver speeches.The seminar was presided over by Zhang Pingdan and Cai Hongbo, Associate Deans of BNUBS.

Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS first delivered a speech. He analyzed the characteristics and development trend of digital economy, interpreted the principles and contents of the construction of new liberal arts of the Ministry of Education, and believed that economics and management should play the main battlefield and vanguard role in the construction of new liberal arts.Qi also introduced the exploration of BNUBS in digital economy and management personnel training and discipline construction of Beijing Normal University.In terms of undergraduate training, the School emphasizes the characteristics of digital economy and management, vigorously promotes the construction of digital economy core courses and strengthens the "digitalization of curriculum content" of economics and management major. It has opened experimental classes of digital economy, financial technology and digital enterprise management.In terms of organization and platform construction, the Department of Digital Economy and management has been formally established, a teaching and research team of digital economy and management has been established, and a lecture hall on digital economy and management has been held.

Liu Shouying, Party Secretary and Dean of School of Economics, Renmin University of China, proposed the development direction of digital economy major from two aspects of discipline system and research system, and introduced the experience of the School of Economics in actively promoting the construction of digital economy major from the aspects of platform support, talent training system, faculty team and international exchange.An Tongliang, Dean of the Business School of Nanjing University and Dean of the School of Digital Economy and Management, explained the relationship between digital economy and the construction of new liberal arts, and shared the background, administrative system and talent introduction of the School of Digital Economy and Management of Nanjing University.Sheng Bin, director of the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Department and dean of the School of Economics at Nankai University, believes that it is urgent to strengthen the professional construction of digital economy for the construction of new liberal arts.Under the background of the establishment of the Digital Economy Interdisciplinary Science Center in Nankai University, the School of Economics actively promotes the professional construction of digital economy and digital trade. Under the wave of the professional construction of digital economy, the core and boundary problems of digital economics need to be solved well.Chen Deqiu, dean of the International Business School of the University of International Business and Economics, focused on the digital revolution, enterprise transformation, the new paradigm of corporate governance decision-making, and the innovative practice of corporate governance in the digital economy era.Wu Xuliang, chief economic consultant of Tencent Research Institute, combined with the problems encountered in the development of the digital economy industry, proposed the need to explore digital microeconomics, digital macroeconomics, big data economics, digital transformation and digital management, digital public policy, digital economic welfare and other emerging fields.

Zhao Chunming, Director of the Academic Committee of BNUBS, proposed that in the new era of globalization dominated by digital economy, seize the opportunity of the development of digital economy, not only can promote China to catch up in the wave of scientific and technological innovation, but also help to promote the formation of a new development pattern of domestic and international double cycles ofmutual promotion.Jiao Hao, director of the Department of Digital Economy and Management, proposed to strengthen the context embedding of digital economy and management research, promote the construction of a series of high-quality textbooks of "Digital economy and management in the New Era",focus on the topic of digital economy and management for master's degree thesis, and build the School into a national research center in the field of digital economy and management as soon as possible.

Cui Xuegang, Associate Dean of BNUBS , Qu Ruxiao, Director of the Teaching Committee, Yang Juan, Director of the Economics Department, Wei Hao, Director of the International Economics and Trade Department, Chen Yan, Director of the Human Resources Department, Xu Zhixing, Associate Director of the Department of Human Resources, Li Jing, AssociateDirector of MBA Center, Zhou Jianghua, AssociateDirector of MBA Center and Director of Case Centermade in-depth and detailed exchanges and speeches in the aspects of enrollment, discipline development and characteristic construction, professional personnel training, discipline integration, academic research, teacher transformation, and building of strong disciplines.

Sun Zhijun, Party Secretary of BNUBS, finally made a summary speech.The School focuses on promoting the cultivation of digital economy and management talents and discipline construction, which is proposed under the background of digital economy becoming the main economic form and the national promotion of new liberal arts construction. It is a beneficial exploration to build a new discipline growth point of the School.The discipline of Digital Economy and Management will infiltrate and develop together with other disciplines, and become the discipline foundation to support the development of the School. The Department of Digital Economy and Management has been established in the School. In the next step, we will focus on strengthening the theoretical research of digital economy and management. With the construction of "digital course content, digital economy and management course" as the starting point, the School will explore the training characteristics of economic management talents and the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents under the new liberal arts.
