The sudden outbreak of the epidemic has made this spring semester quite unusual. In the critical period of epidemic prevention and control in Beijing, we are facing serious threat of theepidemic. In order to ensure the smooth implementation of epidemic prevention and control work and campus safety, teachers and students of BNUBS actively responded to the call to participate in thevolunteer work of the epidemic prevention and control work of BNU, expressed their love for BNU with their actions and contributed to the establishment of a “Safety Net”. The relevant staff of the School Office and the Branch Party Committee are on standby 24 hours a day to provide information to teachers and students, carry out information screening, epidemic prevention publicity and other safeguard work to ensure the orderly and stable development of all work in emergency period.The Union also recently purchased relevant epidemic prevention materials for faculty members.

The staff volunteers successfully completed five rounds of nucleic acid testing on April 30, May 2, May 4, May 9 and May 15.Since May 9, our teachers Wang Yan, Chen Xiaojuan, Yang Chengyu, Liu Yingjie and Miao Bo have followed the examples and started their service.

Up to now, a total of 11 teachers have participated in 13 nucleic acid testing volunteer services in the school, assisting in nucleic acid testing code registration and maintaining testing order.More than 70 students, including Zhao Jialiang and Zhan Junyan, also joined the volunteer service team to assist in code scanning detection and on-site order maintenance

It is said that those who fight for a common goal in united efforts will win in the end. In the prevention and control of COVID-19, every teacher and student should be determined. At this critical moment, we especially needed to finish what we started and carry out our mission. “we will not alter our original aspiration or give up our mission in the face of difficulties and challenges”. Our country is still shining after all the ups and downs. As long as every one of us has firm faith in the epidemic and carried forward orders strictly, with the joint efforts of all teachers and students, we will surely win the battle against the epidemic and build a safe wall of epidemic prevention and control ofBNU.

Feelings of teachers and students:

When I put on my medical gloves for the first time and picked up my mobile phone in the hot sun to record the basic information of nucleic acid test for the organization, I had a new understanding of the whole teaching and educating people: As an ordinary teacher in the field of front-line teaching, when I see students passing by in the sun and feel their firm facial expressions behind masks I am just as happy and excited as meeting those who sit quietly in the classroom and listen to my lecture carefully.

We all love Beijing Normal University which has borne so much history of the country and the nation.The experience of fighting COVID-19 is a special opportunity in our lives. It is not only our duty to protect the safety and dignity of BNU, but also the solemn commitment of all the people of Beijing Normal University to The Times and the Party and the country. The road of learning to be a good teacher is endless, and the volunteer experience once again made me ponder how to cultivate students in my daily work.

In the face of the emergency, BNU responded very quickly organized echelons of volunteers at all levels. Time is life and there’s no more effective way than early detection and early control. In this process, I have witnessed the braveness of the students and teachers of BNU where they actively participated in the volunteer work and I’m also very lucky to be part of it. My task was to guide the students to take nucleic acid tests and distribute masks at the entrance of the west playground.Although the daylight was strong at noon, all the volunteers stuck to their posts regardless of whether they were sheltered or not. Students also actively cooperated with them. The whole process was standardized and orderly, and all of them supported epidemic prevention and control with their practical actions.I believe that with the joint efforts of everyone, the epidemic will soon pass, and I feel very honored to contribute to the epidemic prevention and control of BNU.

The prevention and control of the epidemic is our responsibility. When I received the recruitment notice of staff volunteers, I immediately volunteered and then became an honorable member of the third echelon of staff volunteers for epidemic prevention and control. On May 4, I participated in the volunteer work of epidemic prevention and control for the first time, mainly in charge of nucleic acid test code scanning. Nucleic acid testing is an effective methodfor precise prevention and control. It is the first line of defense to actively screen asymptomatic infected persons, implement the "four early" requirements, and an important link in implementing the general policy of "dynamic zero-out".When I began to scan codes, I took it seriously that I did not dare to miss anyone. After two hours, my face was imprinted with a mask and my clothes were soaked with sweat. And I cannot even begin to think how hard it must be for sampling personnel with protective suits wrapped tightly!Later, I took part in the follow-up nucleic acid test code scanning volunteer service. Now, as an emergency support staff for epidemic prevention and control, I am stationed in the school around the clock to deal with various matters related to students, which makes me feel a greater responsibility.We hope that all the students can understand and cooperate with the school's epidemic prevention regulations and take nucleic acid tests on time in light of the seriousness of the situation. We may encounter inconvenience and restrictions now but we surely can protect our beautiful campus and have a brighter future under our common efforts!

At present, all epidemic prevention work in the School is being carried out in an orderly manner andall teachers and students are actively cooperating with the School. When I saw the application link, I applied without any hesitation as I feel it’s my responsibility as a student cadre. I always want to stand up and devote myself to volunteer workwhenever I am needed by the school and classmates, without considering the cost and reward.
