In order to continuously improve the professional ability and executive ability of administrative teachers of the School, in this semester the School will organize a series of lectures on “Improving the Ability of Professional Administrative Teachers”. On the morning of March 29th, the opening lecture themed "How to Shine in 'my' Post" was successfully held in conference Room 9406 of JINGSHI HOTEL. More than 20 administrative teachers of the School participated in this activity. Jiang Yan, Associate Secretary of the Party Committee of The Publishing Group of Beijing Normal University and an alumnus of BNUBS, was invited to give a lecture. The lecture was presided over by Ge Yuliang, Associate Secretary of Party Committee of BNUBS. 

 

 

 

 

Ge Yuliangfirst introduced Ms. Jiang Yan, and gave examples from two aspects: professionalism and persistence. He expressed his hope that everyone could realize the significance of persistence, and he also hoped that teachers could inject new energy into their work through this training lecture.

 

 

 

 

Through five work-related games, Ms. Jiang Yan cleverly narrowed the distance between teachers and enlivened the atmosphere. The five games help teachers to better understand themselves and their working partners from multiple dimensions of boundary-breaking, self-acceptance, work highlights, state optimization and mutual appreciation. During the process, the teachers were skillfully divided into three groups. In the group, they used the prop cards to praise each other, evaluate themselves respectively, share their most fulfilling moments and best working conditions in their work, and praise the teachers in the same group successively. The room was fulfilled with laughter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After the game, Ms. Jiang Yan organized everyone to review their thoughts on the game. Teacher Wang Wei said that through today's activity, we have narrowed the distance with each teacher and got to know each teacher's personality better.Teacher Chen Su shared that the new form of activities also expanded the way of communication among teachers, and enabled them to experience the multi-angle thinking process. The process was very interesting, and they have gained a new understanding of executive power. Teacher Han Lili said that the activity enhanced the friendship among teachers, and the improvement of executive ability is inseparable from cooperation. The administrative work is complicated, so we should take the initiative to establish goals, innovate work forms, and gain happiness in work.    

 

At the end of the activity, Teacher Jiang Yan made a summary of the game content and practical work. Teacher Jiang Yan mentioned that when working together, everyone should first have a clear concept of time; and then, they should work together to create a relaxed and harmonious team atmosphere to deal with uncertain tasks; finally, when facing difficulties, they should communicate with each other timely,understand each other and solve difficulties with sincerity.   

 

 

 

 

This activity shortens the distance between teachers and also conveys the importance of execution in work. By understanding the importance of the executive ability, work happily in a good working atmosphere, we hope all teachers can shine in their own posts!

Feelings and experiences of the activity:

I benefited a lot from Ms. Jiang Yan's lectures. On the one hand, I had a deeper understanding with teachers in the School through the activities. I saw how teachers adjust their working state and improve their working methods when facing difficult work. On the one hand, I have also seen my own shortcomings. The fact that in the face of the same card, each teacher's consciousness and mentality is different, so they have different interpretation. We should always carry an optimistic work attitude, energizing work style and effective work methods. Teacher Jiang's final summary was the highlight, which has grasped the key of the whole activity from the perspective of personal attitude, sincere communication, rhythm control and efficient working atmosphere of the team, and let me see the overall performance of the activity from another perspective. Ihope there will be more activities in the future to enhance our capacity and understanding.

The lecture is different from the previous lectures. Teacher Jiang has passed on her wisdom through exciting games.

"Seat change", "Handshake introduction" and "Achievement Moment" are games carefully selected to guide teachers to re-understand each other and themselves step by step, and to think about the value of their own work and the space for further improvement. Everyone is a indispensable strength of the team, and the team is everyone's solid backing and guarantee of success. In addition, improving executive ability, maintaining a positive attitude and being sincere to people are the foundation of personal success and team success at work.

It was an unforgettable training experience. Teachers have relaxed themselves and improved their professional ability in laughter at the same time. We are looking forward to the future lectures.

Ms. Jiang Yan is a 97 undergraduate and 01 master of our School. In the opening introduction, Mr. Ge recalled the time when he was Teacher Jiang's headteacher and the wonderful time they had together.This activity is different from the usual lectures. TeacherJiang Yan flexibly mobilized everyone's enthusiasm with games. In the process, we used the cards to communicate with each other in groups, which gave us a rare opportunity to review our work status and communicate with colleagues more deeply.After the activity, under Teacher Jiang's explanation, I also realized the meaning of the theme of the activity -- how to shine in my position: maintain the optimal state of our own work, abide by the rules, unite and cooperate with each other.
