On the morning of November 11, 2021, BNUBS held the "Face to Face with the Dean" symposium for student cadres of this academic year in conference room 1620B. Dean Qi Yudong, Associate Secretary Ge Yuliang, Secretary Chang Xinyang of the Youth League Committee and Associate Secretaries Song Jilong and Zhang Kexin of the Sub-Youth League Committee, President Zhu Yuzi of the Undergraduate Student Union and President Zhao Jialiang of the Graduate Student Union participated in the symposium.  

First of all, Song Jilong, Zhang Kexin, Associate Secretaries of Sub-Youth League Committee, introduced in the past year the development of Sub-Youth League Committee, Dandelion Volunteer Teaching Activities, the construction of Academic Counseling Room and the work plan of each department of Sub-Youth League Committee in the next year. Zhu Yuzi, Member of the Presidium of the Undergraduate Student Union, explained the specific work of each department of the Student Union, and introduced in detail the brand activities of BNUBS, such as round table lectures, simulated career recruitment contest, and transformation of ordinary people.  Zhao Jialiang, Member of the Presidium of the Graduate Union, introduced the activities such as "Beijing Normal University Economics and Management · Expert Forum", the experience sharing meeting of the Civil Servants Exam and the plan of the next academic year. The teachers asked questions about the work of student cadres and provided suggestions and answers to their difficulties.  

Dean Qi Yudong highly praised the student work of the Youth League Committee, Student Union and Graduate Student Union. At the same time, he said we should put "talent training" in the first place in student activities and achieve five education at the same time. On the basis of maintaining the sustainable development of "moral education" and "intellectual education", the construction of "physical education", "aesthetic education" and "labor education" should be further strengthened. We should pay more attention to the growth of students' mind, and by organizing colorful activities in the "second class" we can let students go out of the classroom and dormitory, help students to shape a good mental state in the activities, form the best learning mode, and achieve "learning through doing", "thinking in doing", "understanding in doing". Student organizations should carry out their work creatively to strengthen the construction of "brand activities". On the one hand, we should ensure the continuity of existing activities, and on the other hand, we should actively expand the types of activities according to the needs of students. Dean Qi Yudong said that students are welcome to put forward their demands at any time, and the School will give them full support. At the same time, the School will further strengthen practical education, increase the contact with enterprises, promote the construction of internship base, provide more opportunities for students to visit enterprises, and build a platform for students to exchange and learn with the industry elite through the activities of the forum and salon. After the meeting, Secretary Ge Yuliang gave special guidance to each student cadres on the working method and the recent work priority.      

This activity further strengthened the guidance and support of the school for students' work. All students cadres have fully expressed their enthusiasm and confidence for their future work. We hope that in the future, all departments of the Youth League Committee, the Student Union and the Graduate Student Union can provide students with more platforms for all-round development and constantly improve the quality of talent cultivation of the School of Economics and Management.
