On the afternoon of October 28^th, professor Guo Jiahong, Executive Editor and Party Branch Secretary of The Journal of Beijing Normal University (Social Science Edition), Wu Xiaoyang, Associate Editor of the Party Branch, and Meng Dahu, Editor of the Economic Management Column, visited our School for research and discussion. Professor Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS, Professor Sun Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee, and professor Qu Ruxiao, Professor Hu Haifeng, Professor Su Song and other teachers, a total of 20 people attended the meeting. This symposium is one of the important measures taken by the Party Committee of the School to do practical things for teachers and students, and also the second lecture of the periodical fund face-to-face series of activities. The meeting was presided over by Associate Dean Cai Hongbo.

First of all, Secretary Sun zhijun welcomed the leaders for their visit of our School, and thanked the journal for its support to the scientific research and discipline construction of our School. He hoped that the symposium could provide help and guidance for our teachers, especially young teachers who have returned from overseas, in selecting topics, writing and publishing academic papers, as well as making scientific research plans and academic development plans. Professor Guo Jiahong introduced the historical evolution of the journal, as well as the ideas and orientation of the journal, the influence of the journal , column setting and the characteristics of paper selection. He pointed out that the journal would further highlight the advantages of BNU and pay more attention to social hot spots, and encourage teachers of BNU, especially young teachers, to contribute actively and enhance communication.

Then, Editor Meng Dahu combined with the questions collected from the previous exchanges with teachers, and made a detailed introduction about the preference and focus of the topic selection of the papers in the economics and management column, the review process, the advantages of teachers' contributions in the school, and the priori degree and difference among the submitted journals. He highlighted the ideological content, readability and realistic value of the articles, and that they should serve for the major national strategic decision-making. The teachers of our School nteracted with each other on their respective concerns, such as the submission of interdisciplinary research papers, the misunderstanding of the submission of young overseas teachers, the planning of the growth and development of teachers' scientific research, and the writing types of papers.

In the end, Dean Qi yudong summed up that the forum timely responded to the appeals and voices of teachers, especially young teachers, and achieved good results. Especially at present, when the competition of paper publication and journal was becoming increasingly fierce, The Journal of Beijing Normal University (Social Science Edition) has a clear positioning and a good momentum of development. It was widely praised in domestic academic circles and provided us with a high-level platform for academic exchange and achievement publication. On behalf of the School, he expressed his gratitude to the leaders for their coming and long-term support. He hoped that both sides would further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the future.
