On the afternoon of September 24^th, 2021, the opening ceremony of class 2021 international students of BNU Business School was held in Beijing Campus. Present at the opening ceremony were Associate Dean Cai Hongbo, Teacher Representatives He Liping, Wang Yan, Kong Haiyang, Peng Jinyu (School of Chinese Culture), Class Teacher of International Student Class Zheng Feihu, Li Hui, Shen Yan, 10 freshmen and 5 senior students of class 2021, as well as all members of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of the School. The conference was held both online and offline. A total of 22 international students from more than 10 countries attended the ceremony online. The ceremony was presided over by Xie Jia, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of the School.

On behalf of the School, Associate Dean Cai Hongbo expressed his sincere congratulations and warm welcome to the new students. 'Because of the epidemic, we have to meet our classmates online and offline,' said Mr. Cai. The epidemic has changed the normal economic and social life of mankind to a great extent. However, crisis and opportunity go hand in hand, and economic digitization becomes a new engine of world economic development. Cai hongbo encouraged international students to plan their studies rationally and strengthen their knowledge and professional ability through the study in Beijing Normal University, so that they can be good at discovering, analyzing and solving problems scientifically in today's increasingly complex and changeable environment. At the same time, Cai hongbo hoped that every international student can take the initiative to understand and learn Chinese culture, actively participate in the exchange and interaction between local teachers and students, and be a messenger of Chinese culture.

Professor He Liping spoke on behalf of teachers. He said that the epidemic has separated us, but it still didn't not prevent us from getting together. He spoke highly of the students who chose to study across borders in the face of the epidemic, saying that their experiences, whether online or offline, would be a great asset in their life. He encouraged the students to be strong and brave enough to face the difficulties and challenges in study and life, to make a clear position and clear life goals in study and realize their dreams.

In his speech, Raaz Ali (Pakistani), PHD Representative of the English program for the class of 2020, introduced his experience of studying in Beijing Normal University since his master's degree, encouraging students to fully tap their potential in this academic atmosphere and humanistic care environment, and strive to become a messenger connecting China and their home country. Xuan Songhai (Korean), an international student in the Chinese Program for the class of 2019, shared her experience of studying and living in Beijing Normal University. She hoped that the new students could take good care of themselves in the new environment, learn to understand and care for each other, and learn to complement and communicate with each other. She encouraged students to grasp the hard-won learning opportunities, set up lofty ideals, and actively explore the world based on the frontier knowledge of the subject.

In his speech, Stefanski Maciej (Polish), an international student in class of 2021, shared his feelings about entering the school and his current life with his classmates online. Hong Analia Belen (Argentinian), class of 2021, spoke on behalf of the new students in the Chinese Language Program. She shared her experience of studying in China and expressed her love and respect for Chinese culture.

The opening ceremony ended with the school song of "The Grand BNU" .Later, online and offline students introduced themselves one by one, and had a full exchange and interaction with the teachers and head teachers
