On the evening of September 10^th, 2021, the opening ceremony of the MBA class of 2021 was successfully held in the Student Activity Centre. Those who were present at the ceremony include Dean Qi Yudong, Party Secretary Sun Zhijun, Associate Party Secretary Ge Yuliang, Associate Dean Cui Xuegang, Associate Dean Cai Hongbo, Special Guest Liu Fengyu, Director of Human Resource Services in Greater China, Microsoft (China) Co., LTD, Jiao Hao, Director of the Department of Business Management, Sun Chuan, Director of MBA Education Center, Zhou Jianghua, Associate Director of MBA Education Center, Li Jing, Associate Director of MBA Education Center, Wang Lulu, Associate Director of MBA Education Center and Teacher Chen Xiaojuan, Teacher Zhang Li, Teacher Tian Lu, Teacher Su Xiaoyuan, Teacher Huo Qihong, Teacher Meng Jia, Teacher Yu Chen, student representatives of the class of 2020 as well as all 2021 new students, a total number of more than 400 people. The opening ceremony was divided into two parts, the first part was presided over by Cui Xuegang, Associate Dean of BNUBS.

The ceremony began with the grand national anthem.

 

In his speech, Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS, first welcomed the arrival of the class of 2021 MBA students on behalf of the school, and then analyzed the requirements of the changes in the era of digital economy on the cultivation of entrepreneurs from the perspective of finance. He encouraged the students to strive to become excellent entrepreneurs with all the "five quotients" and "five relations" and abide by the university motto of "Learn to be a teacher and act as an example of the world" and set up the aim of "Benefiting the world by stimulating economy, promoting literature in practicing business ". He hoped the students can learn a lot in the two years school life. His wonderful speech won the applause and cheers from all the students.

Professor Jiao Hao spoke on behalf of faculty members of BNUBS. He welcomed the 2021 MBA students to join the family of BNUBS. He expressed that MBA is a brand new starting point for students. He hoped that students could achieve three achievements in the next two years, namely "K" -- Knowledge, "F" -- Friendship and "C" -- Certificate, so that they could hone themselves in the rich course challenges and climb up continuously.

Special Guest Liu Fengyu, Director of Human Resource Services in Greater China, Microsoft (China) Co., LTD，shared the need for talent in the digital age in his speech titled "Seven Growth Mindsets from Ordinary to Great.” He pointed out that innovation needs cooperation, the new generation needs empowerment. And the pursuit of excellence meant the students must constantly break through themselves, change from knowing everything to learning everything, and take learning as a lifelong career.

Yang Fan, President of the 2020 Class Student Union and Representative of MBA students, shared his experience of studying MBA in Beijing Normal University, hoping that new students can find their own direction and balance work and life.

Yuan Yuan, the MBA freshman of 2021, spoke as the representative of the freshmen. She shared her understanding of the centennial cultural heritage of Beijing Normal University, expressed her confidence to be proactive and explore herself, and proposed that students jump out of the comfort zone and contribute their youth strength to national scientific and technological innovation and social progress.

“The world admires Muduo, we cultivate teachers…” The first half of the opening ceremony ended with the surprise appearance of the Iron Lion Band, which sang the cheerful and healing New Boy in the ceremony.

The second half of the ceremony was presided over by Teacher Wang Lulu, Associate Director of MBA Education Center. Ge Yuliang, Associate Party Secretary, Sun Chuan, Director of MBA Education Center, and Li Jing, Associate Director of MBA Education Center gave through guidance to the students.

Ge Yuliang, Associate Secretary, shared his experience in Beijing Lion Group and encouraged the new students to adapt to the new identity, understand the new changes, abide by the school rules, as well as create a good learning environment with teachers. Director Sun Chuan put up expectations from the status, ethics, behavior, study and hoped that students can attentively experience the cultural heritage and essence of Beijing Normal University. Teacher Li Jing introduced the work arrangement of the school and the detailed rules of MBA teaching and training.

 

In a warm atmosphere, the opening ceremony of 2021 MBA freshmen of BNUBS was successfully concluded!
