In order to build a platform for the growth of young teachers, promote the teaching ability of young teachers in colleges and universities, strengthen the training of teachers' basic teaching skills, and promote the overall improvement of the teaching quality of the school, the 12th Basic Teaching Skills Competition for Young Teachers in Beijing Universities officially kicked off on May 13th. Teacher Fang Fang of our school participated in the liberal arts competition held in Beijing Agricultural University from June 5th to 10th. After the evaluation and review of the organizing committee, Teacher Fang Fang stood out from 138 contestants in the category of liberal arts and won the third prize of group A of liberal arts, as well as the best teaching plan award.

Teacher Fang taught the accounting course, which was open to sophomores with the theme of depreciation and profit. The teaching process is mainly divided into three processes: introduction, expansion and summary. The invention of depreciation and its relationship with profit are explained in a simple but profound way. She introduced the class in a vivid and illustrated way, smoothly extending from the difficulties faced by railway companies during the first industrial Revolution to the important progress in the history of accounting. With the specific case of Hengrui Pharmaceutical, she analyzed the impact of different depreciation methods on the size of profit and the sustainability of profit. During the teaching process, Teacher Fang Fang dressed neatly and appropriately, and was full of spirit and active in thinking. She was good at using gestures and facial expressions to interact with students, which effectively mobilized students' thinking and learning enthusiasm, and fully displayed the unique professional quality and personal charm of young teachers.

The competition is jointly sponsored by the Education Working Committee of Beijing Municipal Committee of CPC, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Beijing Education Union and the National Network Training Center for College Teachers of the Ministry of Education. 296 young teachers from 66 universities in the city under the age of 40 participated in the competition. The competition is divided into four categories: liberal arts, science, engineering and medical. The first, second and third prizes and other awards will be determined after teaching plan evaluation, classroom demonstration and after-class reflection. There are 5 contestants in the arts category of our school. The labor union of our university and the labor union of our school have successively carried out the Beijing Youth Education Competition series training, the school selection and grinding course exchange meeting,which has fully mobilized the professional and expert judge resources inside and outside the school, and helped the players to grasp the skills and ability on the spot. Professor Cai Hongbo, Associate Dean of the school, Professor Lu Yuexiang, Chairman of the Labor Union, Professor Zhao Chunming, Director of the Academic Committee, Professor Yang Chengyu from the Department of Economics, and Professor Li Kun from the Department of Finance, who won prizes in the previous youth Education Competition, gave great guidance and support to the contestants. At the same time, we hope that young teachers will take this competition as a starting point, take talent training as a lifelong career, and strive to become a good teacher with ideals and beliefs, moral sentiments, solid knowledge, and a heart of love.
