On the afternoon of December 5th, the appointment ceremony of MBA extramural tutors of BNUBS was held at the Yingdong Academic Hall. Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS; Ge Yuliang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Associate President Cui Xuegang attended the appointment ceremony. Forty-three entrepreneurs, industry leaders have been appointed as MBA Extramural tutors. Faculty representatives Prof. Liu Songbai, Prof. Gao Minghua, Prof. Sun Yunchuan, Prof. Sun Chuan, Director of MBA Education Center and all faculty members of the center attended the appointment ceremony.

In the solemn national anthem, the appointment ceremony started. The ceremony was presided over by Ge Yuliang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.

Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS, delivered a warm speech. Dean Qi expressed his welcome and gratitude to the practical professionals who accepted the invitation, and his respect and gratitude to them for their long-term support to the development of the BNUBS. He pointed out that "MBA education is a combination of practice, science and art. For business schools all over the world, the shortcomings of practice are very serious. He said that MBA teaching played an important role in the graduate training system of BNUBS. We would work with extramural tutors to increase the practical ability training of students and make positive contributions to the delivery of cutting-edge talents for the society at a time when there is a once-in-a-century historical change and a shortage of business talents.

Subsequently, an appointment ceremony was held. Forty-three senior executives from well-known enterprises at home and abroad, including China Minmetals Group Co,Ltd China Railway Construction Engineering Group Co, Ltd, Ningde Times and Oracle (China) Software System Co, Ltd, took the stage one by one to accept the appointment letter from BNUBS.

On the scene, Associate Dean Cui Xuegang delivered the theme report of "New Era, New Pattern, New Action: Innovation and Development of MBA Education in Beijing Normal University". He briefly introduced the development achievements of the school and MBA education program, pointed out the main problems existing in the current MBA education of Beijing Normal University, and the general idea of the next innovative development of MBA education of Beijing Normal University. He pointed out the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on China's graduate education work, the spirit of the National Conference on Graduate Education, and the recent planning and guidance documents of the Academic Level Office of The State Council and the Ministry of Education on graduate education and the development of professional degree graduate students, which pointed out the direction and provided a clear roadmap for the innovative development of MBA education. As an important part of discipline construction, school practice connection center and education resource gathering center, MBA of Beijing Normal University would firmly establish the educational goal of moral education, comprehensively improve education quality and promote brand upgrading. As an important element of MBA education in Beijing Normal University, external tutors need to assume their due responsibilities to promote educational innovation and quality improvement.

Sun Chuan, Director of MBA Education Center, introduced the responsibilities and duties of external MBA tutors of the School. The employment period of MBA external tutors is two years. The relationship between tutors and students is determined through two-way selection, and academic guidance is carried out in strict accordance with the Rules of Tutors. Tutors are required to abide by school rules and regulations and teachers' ethics. They should instruct each student for at least 10 hours a year and organize face-to-face activities at least once a year. In addition to performing their basic guidance duties, the university encourages tutors to participate in the construction of high-level industry-education integration platform, internship base construction, joint project management research and development, human resources cooperation, public welfare activities and other aspects. MBA of BNUBS would also provide exchange and sharing platform and reciprocity mechanism for tutors, and jointly develop enterprise classroom, so as to achieve a win-win situation for both schools and enterprises.

Yu Xingxi, Secretary General of Beijing Listed Companies Association, as the representative of the tutors, talked about his understanding of school-enterprise cooperation in his speech. Based on his own experience, he shared his understanding from the perspective of "school teaching and enterprise practice, student learning and enterprise practice". In the future, he would combine his daily work, earnestly fulfill my responsibilities, guide MBA students' practical activities, and promote the smooth completion of school-enterprise cooperation.

"Knowing is the beginning of doing, and doing is the result of knowing." In a subsequent speech, Yang Fan, a representative of MBA students in the class of 2020, said that enterprises are the main battlefield and the main carrier of social practice. The arrival of external tutors enabled the school to establish more connections with external enterprises. By learning the professional spirit of different entrepreneurs, students can apply what they have learned and thought in combination with the actual situation of enterprises.

The appointment of external tutors is an important measure for BNUBS to implement the dual tutorial system of MBA Education Steering Committee. By strengthening school-enterprise cooperation, the MBA education quality is further improved and students' practical ability is enhanced, which plays a positive role in cultivating high-level compound management talents and optimizing the education system.
