On the morning of November 5th, Dean Qi Yudong of BNUBS met with Ms. Zhou Haiyan, Director of Cooperation and Development of IMA(Institute of Management Accountants) North China, and Ms. Qian Wang, Manager of Cooperation and Development of IMA North China, in 1610, the rear main building. Wu Qinhong, Dean of the Department of Accounting of BNUBS, Li Yuxiao, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Accounting, and Zhang Haiyan, teacher of the Department of Accounting, attended the communication symposium. Both parties have conducted full consultation on the strategic cooperation between the School and IMA.

After giving a brief introduction of the latest development of IMA in China, Ms. Zhou Haiyan expressed her willingness to carry out strategic cooperation between the two sides during this visit. Firstly, the two sides reached agreement on the main framework of strategic cooperation on the basis of previous communication. Then, the two sides discussed many cooperative topics, including the practical teaching of management accounting in Beijing Normal University, IMA case competition, cooperative research and other relevant cooperation topics and implementation plans, and formed common opinions. Dean Qi Yudong had a cordial discussion with two guests and teachers of Accounting Department to discuss the conceptual design and framework of management accounting practice teaching under the new business education mode in the new era.

In the early stage of IMA's entry into China, BNUBS has participated in relevant activities of IMA in China and conducted many communications, which laid a good foundation for strategic cooperation between the two sides. Since 2012, accounting undergraduate students have been actively participating in the IMA Campus Management Accounting Case Competition, with remarkable achievements. They have been awarded the champion of North China regional competition for many times and won the overall champion of the National Competition in 2014. In May 2018, Beijing Normal University received IMA Higher Education Accreditation, becoming one of the second batch of seven schools in mainland China to receive accreditation, following Peking University and six other schools.
