Dean Prof. Qi Yudong Visited the Top Universities in South Korea

From October 15th to 17th, at the invitation of Prof. Hwy-chang Moon, Honorary Ambassador of Foreign Investment Promotion for Korea, the former Dean of Graduate School of International Studies at Seoul National University, well-known international investment and strategic management scholar, BNUBS Dean Prof. Qi Yudong, along with his delegation, visited the top universities in South Korea such as Seoul National University, the Seoul School of Integrated Sciences and Technologies, and well-known companies such as Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Seoul Incheon Airport.

 

On October 16th, Dean Prof. Qi Yudong and his delegation, accompanied by Professor Hwy-chang Moon, visited Seoul National University, and held talks with Jeong Jong-Ho, Dean of Graduate School of International Studies and Kim Taekyoon, Deputy Dean of Graduate School of International Studies. Cai Hongbo, Vice Dean of Business School, Zheng Feihu, Associate Professor, Xie Jia, the Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office also attended the meetings. Dean Jeong Jong-Ho welcomed Dean Prof. Qi and his delegation, and reviewed the history of cooperation between Seoul National University and Beijing Normal University. He pointed out that BNU has a good international reputation and high academic status, and Graduate School of International Studies at SNU will actively promote exchange and cooperation with BNUBS in more fields. At the invitation of Dean Jeong Jong-Ho, Dean Qi wrote “Kai Wu Cheng Wu Jian Shan Tian Xia (To learn and to apply for the benefit of all the people in the world)” on the guestbook, hoping Graduate School of International Studies at SNU can achieving higher academic achievements, and cultivating more high-level talents for global development and world peace. Accompanied by Dean Jeong Jong-Ho, Dean Qi and his delegation visited the campus and library of SNU located at Gwanaksan Mountain.

 On October 17th, Dean Qi, along with his delegation, visited the Seoul School of Integrated Sciences and Technologies (aSSIST) and held talks with Tae Hyun Kim, President of aSSIST. The aSSIST Assistant President Yong Joo Choi, aSSIST Chair Professor Hwy-chang Moon, aSSIST Academic Dean Bo-Yong Kim, Professor Huang Fei, Professor Yin Wenyan attended the meeting. The two sides discussed the intention and plans on the exchange of teachers' visits and the cooperative doctoral degree programs. Later, Dean Qi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Assistant President Yong Joo Choi.

    

 

Dean Prof. Qi Yudong and His Delegation Visited the aSSIST

 

On October 15th, Dean Prof. Qi Yudong and his delegation visited two well-known enterprises in South Korea, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Seoul Incheon Airport. They visited and investigated the development history of industry and enterprise, and technological innovation.

 

This visit of Dean Qi and his delegation was the first time for BNUBS to visit South Korea, which is of great significance for BUNBS in exchange and cooperation with top universities in South Korea, and is an important part of BNUBS’s plan to implement high-level international cooperation in East Asia.

Seoul School of Integrated Sciences and Technologies (aSSIST) is South Korea's first graduate school specializing in MBA and PhD programs in Management. It was formally certified by South Korea’s Ministry of Education and Human Resources in 2003. The school's predecessor is a student exchange program cooperated by South Korea Institute of Industrial Policy Study (IPS) and foreign universities.
