After a series of preliminary discussions and preparations, the Beijing Normal University School of Economics established J.F.Oberlin University Center officially and inaugurated on May 8, 2019. Professor Tianzhong Yilang, the vice-chancellor of J.F.Oberlin University, Professor Qi Yudong, dean of our School and Jing Mu, dean of the School of Graduate Students of the J.F.Oberlin University presided the inauguration. Professors and directors from both University attended the ceremony.

Before the inauguartion, Professor Tianshan Haozhao, also the President of J.F.Oberlin University met with Qi and his delegation. He expressed his sincere congratulations on the inauguration of the center to establish, and said J.F.Oberlin University would continue to strengthen the support for the exchange of teachers and students and various forms of cooperation between the two sides. Dean Qi thanked J.F.Oberlin University for its full support for the establishment of the Center, and expressed full confidence in the development of MBA degree cooperation, student long-term and short-term exchange and faculty scientific research cooperation relying on the center.

On May 8, vice-chancellor professor Tianzhong Yilang with other leaders and teachers of the University companied Qi and his delegation and toured the campus, teaching and research facilities and libraries, etc. The two sides have also had in-depth discussions in the central room on the basis of existing cooperation and carried out detailed planning of the joint venture to set up seed fund for bilateral scientific research cooperation, and jointly held academic forums etc. Tian, the vice chancellor warmly expressed, "our house is your house, and your house is our house".

Two sides have carried out in-depth discussions on bilateral cooperation and other matters.

On the afternoon of May 8, the J.F.Oberlin University held a special academic report on one of its campus and on the report, professor Qi Yudong from our school and professor Jialai Gongfu of J.F. Oberlin University made a speech respectively on the topic of  " management evolution, innovation and regulation transformation under the trend of digital economy" and "MBA education comparison: the European and Japanese", which have responded by the teachers' and students' enthusiastic and widely discussion.

On the morning of May 9th, the "1+1" double-degree MBA cooperation agreement was officially signed between the School of Economics of Beijing Normal University and the International University of Japan. According to the agreement, our MBA students can apply to study the MBA program of Japan International University after one year of enrollment. If they meet the graduation requirements and conditions, they can obtain the MBA degree of both of BNU and IUJ.

Dean Qi and Dean Li Wenkai of the Graduate School of Japan International University signed cooperation agreement.

The J.F.Oberlin University Center is the first comprehensive teaching and research base overseas set up by our School, which will play an important role in the internationalization of our School's talent cultivation and high-level scientific research cooperation. At present, our School is organizing 20 MBA students and 36 international business management undergraduates to go to Japan for short-term study and enterprise practice activities in May and August this year respectively.
