On Nov 21, 2018, a total of 36 international undergraduate and post graduate students of the Business School visited the Second Factory of Beijing Hyundai Motors Company in the Shunyi District of Beijing.

36 International students of BNU Business School visited the Beijing Hyundai Motors Company.

The staff of the company introduced the history and development of BHMC to the students. Funded jointly by the Beijing Motor Investment Corporation, Ltd. and the Korea Hyundai Motor Co., the company developed very fast since established in 2002. Now it has three vehicle manufacturing factories, three engine manufacturing factories and a technological center. Presently, the company, located in the Shunyi District of Beijing, is capable of producing 1,050,000 vehicles per year and grown up to the largest mono-manufacturer.

Stepping into the spacious workshop of the second factory of BHMC, the students saw the production lines of internationally leading level and advanced intelligent equipment which are applied to reduce human labor in the process of manufacturing, realize high automation and guarantee a good quality of the products. In front of the last manufacturing procedure, the students witnessed the scene that every several minutes there came out a new car in white from the line. The line can produce 50 cars per hour.

The students are watching how the new cars are produced.

What this visit brought for the students is not only the knowledge of the whole process of producing a car at Hyundai, but also the significance of science and technology to productivity and the mutual economic benefits that the Sino-Korean joint venture brought to both countries.
