On the morning of November 11, 2018, jointly organized by BNUBS and the Human Development and Management Research Center of BNU, the “2017/18 China Human-oriented Development Report Conference & Education Seminar” were held in 1610 conference room of the main building of BNU. Experts and scholars from Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, BNU, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing University of Technology, Central University of Finance and Economics, Capital University of Economics and Business, China System Reform Magazine, Management World Magazine, etc. gathered together and expressed their own thoughts on the theme of “the purpose of education”, achieving academic results with theoretical and practical significance.

First of all, Professor Li Baoyuan, the project leader and director of the Human Development and Management Research Center of BNU, reported on the theme, investigation process and main conclusions of the “2017/18 China Human-oriented Development Report”.

Then, the guests discussed the predicament of education development and reform in China and explored its way out.

Finally, on the basis of the heated discussion, Professor Zhang Pingdana, Vice Dean of BNUBS made a concluding speech, in which he fully affirmed the academic achievements and social influence of Professor Li Baoyuan’s human-oriented team. Noting that there would be a long way for the education development and reform in China, he also envisioned a bright future.
