On 26^th May 2017, 10 students from BNUBS business administration class, accounting class and finance class arrived at Ji’nan University Management School in Guangzhou to participate the 7^th IMA Management Accounting Case Competition National Final.

The six-month competition was initiated in December 2016. After the preliminary competitions, two teams of students from BNUBS won first prize and seconded prize respectively in the quarter finals against other student teams from various universities. The champion team was promoted to the national final, and the second team had another contest with 7 other teams.

 

On the 26^th of May, students rehearsed in the meeting room for their final competition. At 1:30 pm, the teams drew lots to decide the order. At 2:00 pm, the competition began. Several tutors and both postgraduates and undergraduates from seven teams participated. The names of their teams are “Never Say Never” from Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology, “Cardinal” from Nanjing Audit University, “Wesdom” from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, “Advancer” from Ji’nan University, “ZBG-Dreamer” from Henan University, “Nirvana in Fire” from Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics and “Forest” from BNUBS. The competition was carried out in showcases with each team of students demonstrating their findings with PPTs and presentations. Judges commented on their performances afterwards. The competition ended at 4:30 in the afternoon.

On 27^th, competitors joined a forum on management and accounting held by Ji’nan University Management School. At 6:00 pm in the evening, the result of yesterday’s competition was announced at the formal dinner. Students delivered remarks of thanks. BNUBS won third prize, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics won first prize, Ji’nan University and Henan University won second prize.

The competition finally came to a success. Students from different majors coordinated with each other and learned from each other. It is not only a prized that they obtained, but also an extensive range of professional knowledge, broad visions, cooperative abilities and precious friendship.
