On October the 12^th of 2016, the BNUBS School Leaders and Student Cadre Colloquium was held. Attending guests included BNU Business School Dean Lai Desheng, Sub-party Committee Secretary Sun Zhijun, Sub-party Committee Deputy Secretary Ge Yuliang, Associate Dean Zhang Pingdan, Sub-Youth League CommitteeSecretary Zhang Xuan and student cadres of the BNUBS Student Union, the Youth League Committee, the Graduate Student Unionas well as the MBA Association. In this meeting, attending teachers and students not only reviewed and summarizedtheir previous work, but also proposeddevelopment suggestions and looked into the future.

Dean Lai began by congratulating the attending student cadres becoming the leading force of the new session of student work. He raised his expectations, hopping that the students would take full responsibilities, treasure their opportunities and achieve self-promotion through the process of serving all students as well as the school.

Mr. Zhang Pingdanreviewed the fruitful achievements that BNU Business School made inperiod of China’s “12^th Five-Year Plan”, indicating that the BNU Business School have high-level standards, remarkable international levels and profound foundation; which contributed greatly to the building of Beijing Normal University as a world-class university.

Afterwards, school leaders invited attending student cadres to raise improvement suggestions in aspects such as internationalization level, featured experimental classes and social influence. Conforming to China’s“Double First-rate (World First-class University and Discipline Construction)” general planning, the BNU Business School will add new vitality and momentum to its development through enhancing teacher & student communication, making full use of its international students resources and organizing youth forums, etc.

Dean Lai concluded with the following points: thanking everyone for taking their time to attend this colloquium and raising valuable suggestions; hoping that student cadres could form leadership consciousness and service consciousness, contributing to the business school’s development; hoping that student organizations could enhance communication, learn from each other and make progress together; hoping that all students could make full use of school and university resources, achieving self-development in a broader platform.

This colloquium fully reviewed the achievements that BNU Business School made in period of China’s “12th Five-Year Plan”,clarifying its future development directionsthrough affirmation and reflection.
