On the afternoon of October the 18^th 2015, the Beijing Normal University Business School Guest Professor Certificate Awarding Ceremony was held in BNU Business School. Four business school deans from BRICS universities’ who came to attend the “BRICS Universities’ Presidential Forum – Economics Sub-Forum” were invited to become guest professors of BNU Business School. The ceremony was hosted by BNU Business School Associate Dean Yang Chengyu. BNU Business School Dean Lai Desheng, Branch Party Committee Secretary Sun Zhijun, BNU Business School Associate Dean Qu Ruxiao, Zhang Pingdan and Cui Xuegang, Branch Party Committee Deputy Secretary Ge Yuliang, Associate to the Dean Wu Qinhong, Economics Department Head Luo Chuliang as well as other BNU teacher and student representatives attended this event.

Prof. Yang Chengyu started this event by welcoming all distinguished guests from afar and generally introducing BNU Business School. The Guest Professor Certificate Awarding Ceremony then formally began. BNU Business School Dean Lai Desheng issued Guest Professor Certificates to the four BRICS universities’ business school deans, including: Nikolay Filinov-Chernyshev, the Russian National Research University—Higher School of Economics Business Administration School Dean; Carlos Augusto Candeo Fontanini, Business School Dean of the Catholic University of Campinas, Brazil; Jatinder Bir Singh, Delhi University Business School Dean from India; and Maxim A. Ponomarev, the Plekhanov Russian Economic University Management School Dean.

The four deans all expressed that they feel honored to be invited by BNU Business School to become their guest professor. China’s rapid economic growth has already received worldwide attention, and Beijing Normal University is one of the best universities of China. Being one of BNU’s most important components, BNU Business School have demonstrated its leading role in many aspects, especially in the promotion of its internationalization level. It is hoped that this opportunity could enhance mutual communication as well as cooperation, also providing more opportunities for BNU teachers and students.

The ceremony ended with Dean Lai Desheng’s closing speech. After welcoming honored guests, he stated that as though all attendants come from different countries, have different backgrounds and diversified culture, we share mutual pursuits and identical goals in terms of economic research. BNU Business School sincerely hope that we could enhance connection and communication with Business Schools from other BRICS Universities, develop extensive cooperation and contribute to the development of BRICS Universities’ Business Schools.
