The 11th International Conference on Identification, Information and Knowledge in the Internet of Things (IIKI2022) Was Successfully Held

Sponsored by California State University, Fullerton, Shandong Big Data Research Institute and Shandong University, The 11th International Conference on Identification, Information and Knowledge in the Internet of Things (IIKI2022), co-organized by Beijing Normal University, Beijing China Education Big Data Technology Research Institute and Shandong Blockchain Research Association, was successfully held in the mode of online conference. The conference would be broadcast live simultaneously by the official wechat video account "Data Shandong" of Shandong Big Data Research Association. The theme of the conference would focus on information technology and digital economy, among which the technology section would continue the relevant chapters of previous conferences, while the digital economy section would highlight the theme of digital economy and fintech and set up 6 related chapters.

  

Scholars and experts from Beijing Normal University, Shandong University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Ritsumeikan University, University of Illinois, University of North Florida, Institute of Economics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia and other universities and institutions at home and abroad attended the conference. More than 60 scholars participated in the ZOOM conference. Another 840 scholars watched the opening ceremony and report of the conference via live streaming of "Data Shandong", which received tens of thousands of likes.

  

  

 

On the morning of December 9th, IIKI2022 was opened at ZOOM online conference room. The opening ceremony was co-hosted by Professor Shi Yufeng of Shandong University and Professor Bai Yu of California State University. Professor Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS, and Professor Peter Thomas, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, delivered the opening speech on the development of digital economy and big data technology. They warmly welcomed the experts and scholars from home and abroad and wished the conference a complete success.

  

After the opening ceremony, Professor Lin Meng from Ritsumeikan University in Japan, Professor Qi Yudong from Beijing Normal University, Professor Bi Rongfang, Professor Sun Yunchuan and Professor Anton Kos from University of Ljubljana will take turns to host the keynote session. Professor Huang Qunhui, Director of the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Professor J.Christopher Westland of the University of Illinois, Professor Peter Thomas of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and Professor JustinZhang of the University of North Florida gave keynote presentations. The content covers hot areas such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, cloud computing, digital economy and fintech.

  

More than 70 academic papers in the fields of information technology and digital economy was accepted in this conference. The conference proceedings would be published by IEEE, and the search type is EI Conference Search. Up to this conference, 11 IIKI academic symposia have been held successfully. Since its launch in 2012, IIKI International Conference has attracted wide attention in many universities at home and abroad, and its international influence has been increasing year by year. This year, it has been officially approved as IEEE Conference.

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out in his report to the Party's 20th National Congress: "Accelerating the development of the Internet of things, building an efficient and smooth circulation system, and reducing logistics costs. We should accelerate the development of the digital economy, promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and build internationally competitive digital industrial clusters. We should improve the layout, structure, function and system integration of infrastructure, and build a modern infrastructure system. In recent years, emerging technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things have injected new vitality into the real economy. The integration of information technology and the real economy has greatly promoted the development of the digital economy. The digital economy is expanding in depth and has entered the fast lane. It is of great theoretical and practical significance to strengthen the research on information technology and digital economy in line with the major national needs. The theme of this conference is closely related to the development needs of The Times and contributes to the cross-integration and vigorous development of information technology and digital economy.
