On the evening of October 30, 2023, The Expert Forum (the 118th)of BNUBS was held in the lecture Hall 1, Teaching Complex Building, Changping Campus. Professor Yang Rudai, Distinguished Professor of Liberal Arts of Peking University, Distinguished Professor of Cheung Kong Scholars of the Ministry of Education, and Professor of Economics of Peking University gave the lecture. More than 300 doctoral students from Changping campus participated in the exchange, and also streamed live through Yangtze River Rain Class.

In the lecture, Professor Yang first explained in detail how globalization promotes the process of industrialization, then focused on the limitations of the planned economy system in the early days of the founding of the People's Liberation of China and the internal logic of the development achievements made by the reform and opening up, and finally combining with the internal and external challenges facing the current economic development of China, he analyzed the future economic development of our country from the perspectives of adhering to the idea of opening up, strengthening the construction of the system and building a unified large market.

In the exchange session, Professor Yang Rudai patiently answered the questions raised by the teachers and students, and everyone highly appreciated and thanked Professor Yang Rudai for his wonderful sharing.
