On 10 April 2024, QS announced the 2024 World University Rankings by Subject, which covers 60 subjects across five subject areas. Beijing Normal University has a total of 25 disciplines on the list, among which Economics and Econometrics rank 12th among mainland universities; Accounting and Finance, Business and Management Studies ranked 13th among mainland universities.

Since 2011, QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) has published the World University Rankings by subject every year. Academic reputation, Employer reputation, research citation rate per paper, H-Index, and International Research network (by broad department area) are ranked according to the five dimensions, and different disciplines have different weights in the above five dimensions.
