[News] A Visit from Monash University Business School of Australia

On November the 18th of 2015, Monash University Business School Deputy Dean Prof. Keryn Chalmers, Head of Manage Department Prof.Julie Wolfram Cox and Director of China’s Programs Prof. Cherrie Jiuhua Zhu visited Beijing Normal University. A group of BNU officials from relevant departments greeted them in the Business School conference room, including: Cui Xuegang, the Business School Associate Dean;Liu Lengxin, BNU International Exchanges and Cooperation Director; Zhang Xiaohui, Deputy Dean of the Office of Academic Affairs for Undergraduate Students; Liao Ying, Director of International Master's programs fromthe BNUGraduate School; Wang Hongxin, Associate Dean of the School of Government and his assistant GuoJia; also the Business School Maxdo program International Assistant An Yalun. The meeting was hosted by Mr. CaiHongbo, who’s Assistant to the Dean ofthe Business School.

Mr. Cui Xuegang started the meeting by introducing general information of the BNU Business School, especially recent year’s achievements in international communication and cooperation and the on-going EQUIS accreditation process. Prof. Keryn Chalmers then introduced the international concepts of Monash Universityand its Business School in talent cultivation and future development. He focused on introducing the undergraduate and postgraduate programs of Monash Business School, which was supplemented by Ms. Julie Wolfram Cox and Ms. Cherrie Jiuhua Zhu in details such as program implementation and specific cooperative methods.

During the meeting, the Monash guests expressed their hope of mutual cooperation with BNU Business School’s MBA program as well as “World Economy and China (WEC)” English taught Master’s program. They also showed interest in cooperative international programs such as acollaborative dual-degree program for undergraduate students, short term exchange student programs for both undergraduates and graduates, also MBA summer school programs. The meeting lasted for two and half hours, during which both parties fully discussed the possibilities and prospects of future cooperation.
